SAMPLING/ANALYSIS OF UNKNOWN REGULATED MATERIALS & CONSULTING SERVICES
Bryan personnel were tasked with sampling unknown regulated controlled materials on behalf of a shipping company in the Chicagoland area. An unknown controlled material previously shipped by the trucking company had its container breached and a cleanup occurred, with the regulated materials collected during the cleanup not able to be returned to the drug manufacturer. Bryan personnel sampled and analyzed the testosterone containing material at a certified laboratory so that the waste material could be properly disposed offsite in accordance with U. S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Department of Transportation (DOT) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations.
Since sampling and analysis of the unknown regulated materials identified the materials as containing significant concentrations of the male hormone, testosterone, Bryan personnel contacted DEA personnel in the Chicago field office for help with proper disposal of the waste materials using a Reverse Distributor and assisted the client with providing the proper DEA forms for shipment & disposal.
